Preparation of Stock Solution

Prepare a 10 mM stock solution using DMSO. For example: Dissolve 1 mg of Nile Red powder in 314.1 μL of DMSO.

Note:

  • Unused stock solution is recommended to be aliquoted and stored at -20°C to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Moisture-absorbed DMSO significantly affects the solubility of the product. Please use freshly opened DMSO.

Preparation of Working Solution

Dilute the stock solution with an appropriate buffer (e.g., serum-free culture medium or PBS) to prepare a working solution of 1-100 μM. Note:

  • The final concentration of the working solution is recommended to be optimized according to different cell lines and experimental systems.
  • If difficult to dissolve, ultrasound treatment can be used to facilitate dissolution.

Precautions

  1. Avoid using lipid substances in cell culture media. During staining incubation and observation, avoid strong light exposure to prevent fluorescence quenching.
  2. For your safety and health, wear lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
  3. This product is for research use only. Do not use for pharmaceuticals, clinical diagnosis or treatment, food and cosmetics, etc. Do not store in residential areas.
