Perkenalan
The Kit integrates phenol/guanidin-based lysis and silica-membrane purification of total RNA. Reagen Magzol, termasuk dalam kit, is a monophasic solution of phenol and guanidine thiocyanate, designed to facilitate the lysis of samples and inhibit RNases. The high lysis efficiency of the reagent and the subsequent removal of contaminants by organic phase extraction enable extracting up to 200μg total purified RNA from less than 100mg of animal, plant, and fungal samples, bakteri, sel, dan sampel lainnya.

Prinsip
Tissue samples (10-100mg) are homogenized in MagZol Reagent. Setelah penambahan kloroform, homogenat dipisahkan menjadi fase berair dan organik dengan sentrifugasi. Bagian atas, fase air diekstraksi, dan etanol ditambahkan untuk memberikan kondisi pengikatan yang sesuai. Sampel kemudian diterapkan ke kolom putar, di mana total RNA (up to 100µg) binds to the membrane, and phenol and other contaminants are efficiently washed away. High-quality RNA is then eluted in 30-100µl of RNase-free water.

Penyimpanan dan Stabilitas
MagZol Reagent should be stored at 2-8°C upon arrival. Namun, penyimpanan jangka pendek (hingga 12 minggu) pada suhu kamar (15-25°C) tidak mempengaruhi kinerjanya. Komponen kit lainnya dapat disimpan pada suhu kamar (15-25°C) dan setidaknya stabil 18 bulan dalam kondisi ini.
