The Kit is specially designed for simultaneous purification of genomic DNA and total RNA from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections. Purified DNA/RNA is suitable for use in applications such as real-time 聚合酶鍊式反應 and Pyrosequencing.

原則
FFPE samples are incubated in an optimized lysis buffer, which results in the release of RNA and precipitation of DNA. 離心後, the RNA-containing supernatant and DNA-containing pellet are then processed separately to purify RNA and DNA. 加入磁性顆粒和結合溶液後, DNA/RNA會被吸附在磁性顆粒的表面, 蛋白質等雜質不會被吸附而被去除. 吸附的顆粒用洗滌液洗滌，除去蛋白質和雜質, 用乙醇洗滌以除去鹽, and finally DNA/RNA was eluted by RNase Free Water.

儲存和穩定性
