- The nitrogen atom of the amide bond remains neutral without being affected by pH changes.
- Sarkosyl is widely used in experimental research due to its good water solubility, high foam stability, and strong adsorption capacity to proteins.
- As a detergent, sarkosyl can penetrate and lyse cells.
- Unlike Natriumdodecylsulfat, sodium dodecyl sarcosine can be dissolved in solutions containing Guanidin hydrochloride and guanidine isothiocyanate.
